Paneer Sandwich

Sandwich!! .. When short of time, it is the last but BEST resort! ..  Well here is a TASTY resort for you! ;)
in just 5 EASY steps!




PREPARATION TIME: 10 MINS
COOKING TIME; 10 MINS


INGREDIENTS:

8 Slices Bread ( Brown Bread , if you are too health conscious)
1/2 cup grated Paneer (Cottage Cheese)
1 Tomato
1 Onion
2 Green chillies
1/4 tsp Red chilli powder
Salt to taste
Yellow Butter as needed
Chilli sauce


METHOD: 
  • Chop onions, chillies and tomatoes.
  • Mix the grated paneer with chopped vegetables, salt, red chilli powder, chilli sauce.
  • Now Take two bread slices and butter them, put some paneer mixture on one slice and cover it with other bread slice.
  • Put this in sandwich toaster until the bread turns crispy and brown.
  • Serve with ketchup.
 Enjoy!!

Desi Pasta!



Yes, you read it right! Pasta is everyone’s favorite! The yummiest gift from Italy! ..
BUT, we Indians can’t live without spices.. and thus we have our own versions of snacks from all around the world!

Here is .. DESI PASTA!





Ingredients:

Pasta - 1 cup
Water - 3 cups
chopped onions - ¼ cup (Finely chopped)
tomatoes- ¼ cup (finely chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
Green chilly- 1 (finely chopped)
Red Chilly powder/ hot sauce - 1 tsp
Coriander powder- ½ tsp
Cumin powder ½ tsp
Oil- 2 tsp
Salt- to taste
Coriander leaves- for garnishing


Method:
  • In a deep pan heat water and bring it to a boil. 
  • Add pasta and let cook for 8 minutes, until it is fully cooked (soft but firm). 
  • Drain the water and keep aside. 
  • In a pan heat oil. Sauté the onions and green chilly till golden brown.
  • Next add the ginger garlic paste. Then, add tomatoes and sauté the mixture. 
  • Next add the chilly powder/chilly sauce, salt and coriander and cumin powders.
  • Mix well and cook for a minute. Then add the pasta.
  • Toss everything together and garnish with coriander leaves. 

Serve hot.
You could also add grated cheese on the dish and allow it to melt.

Christmas Apple Pie!

Hey folks, its CHRISTMAS!! Good time, good mood and good food! :D
Well but some of you might be away from family, and .. delicious food.. But no problemo! ..
Here is a simple recipe to make your Christmas SPECIAL!

So just gear up to try this one!


What You Need?


150 gm   The Pastry flour/All Purpose flour/Maida
100 gm   Butter
100 gm   Powdered Sugar
2 apples (peeled and chopped)
2 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
½ cup biscuit powder


yea ,  Just these, and you can start now :

Mix Maida, butter and half cup sugar. 
Add water and make a firm dough. 
Roll the dough into a chapatti 
and line a half inch thick layer in the pie tin. 
Bake it in a pre heated oven at 120 degrees for 15 mins. 

Meanwhile, in a separate vessel, mix chopped apples, remaining sugar,
 cloves, cinnamon and biscuit powder. 
Then, put it in the cooked pie. 
Now, make another chapatti like before and cover the tin properly. 
Bake it again for 10 mins at 200 degrees. 

Serve hot with ice-cream. 






You should be through with it in 30-40 min. Ain't that less for a Christmas recipe! ;)
